In every organization, there is a point at which it becomes necessary to obtain additional funding beyond dues and program fees. This is the stage when sponsorship development becomes vital to that organization’s continued growth. Development is a mutually beneficial relationship. By supporting AIGA programs, sponsors receive direct access to the buyers of their products and service, as well as, marketing opportunities they cannot obtain elsewhere. In turn, AIGA is strengthened by their support. The development committee is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with companies and individuals who are currently or can potentially provide financial support to the chapter, and works closely with programming chairs when they are putting together their yearly plan of the events.
